It’s Me, Hi!

Oh, hey there! It’s great to meet you! 
I'm Mary, a native to Kansas City and the owner and creator over here at Mary Oyler Creative. I live right outside of Kansas City with my husband, two kiddos, two dogs, and our cat. 
After teaching for seven years, I called it quits in 2017 to run my clothing boutique, Freckled Lamb, while also staying at home with my son.  In 2020, we had our baby girl and the pandemic hit shortly after. This experience completely changed me and my priorities.  It’s a story for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, but I love to share it!
The slow time at home was actually a major blessing for my family and for myself. During this time, I kept my business afloat by building relationships in the online space and operating fully online for six months. After being back open in person for over a year, I found myself feeling unsettled and not at peace. I made the tough, yet amazingly easy, decision to close that following Winter to focus 100% on my family. 
While I loved being a stay at home mom, it definitely had its challenges. I will never regret that time with my kids and this time allowed me to do a lot of healing. I am a recovering workaholic! I spent a lot of time reflecting on my skillset, as well as what I love. In February 2023, I soft launched Mary Oyler Creative! 
This brand was born from my love of supporting small businesses and helping them to grow and succeed. The creative aspects lights a fire in me unlike anything else! 
I understand that each brand is completely unique. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to marketing and the most important thing we can do is drive human connection, while living in this digital age. That, my friend, is exactly what I do and my main approach to marketing your business! 
When I’m not working? Well, I’m so glad you asked! My absolute favorite thing to do is travel! You can also often find me enjoying a good glass of red wine, eating tacos, reading a good book, and spending time with my loved ones.
